Oh, and a kid’s face is covered in blood after he witnesses somebody get struck down by a sword. We do, after all, see somebody get crushed by a very large rock. While all those things are present in the mostly lighthearted title, Final Fantasy IX, this game seems to have a much darker feel to it, assuming the trailer is a good indication of what we can expect.
Crystals, summons, chocobos, militaries, and, I think, kingdoms. The trailer depicts some familiar Final Fantasy elements. The trailer for the game, called the Awakening Trailer, doesn’t reveal all that much but does hint at a few things. I don’t know how many people were expecting it but the reveal for Final Fantasy XVI at Sony’s PlayStation 5 showcase certainly caught me off guard.
